Business Challenge

Zajil Telecom, owning and depending on 30 power generators dispersed across more than ten data center and telecommunication

networking centers sites in Kuwait. Before using Equipment Edge Master, Zajil Telecom faced operational inefficiencies in managing most

of their set of power generators. One major challenge was the inability to efficiently plan for the “refueling” of the generators with the

required amount of gasoline and being forced to wait until the generator dries out of gasoline before having to refuel it, this challenge by

itself led to severe damages to several of Zajil Telecom’s generators. While adequate fuel refilling was the major challenge, other

problems were the inability to monitor the generators’ body temperature and the ability to act before the generators reach critically high

engine temperatures which is an attribute that requires constant monitoring especially in high-temperatures environments such as Kuwait.

Success after using Equipment Edge Master

After using Equipment Edge Master, Zajil Telecom Site Engineering team gained greater pre-emptive capacities in managing every single

generator registered on Equipment Edge Master. By receiving automatically generated alerts on the “fuel level” of each generator, the

refueling process of the generators improved and became more controlled. While by monitoring the body temperature using the

“Temperature Level” dashboard, the site engineering team can track and detect any critical rise in temperature and consequently shut

down the generator and avoiding critical incidents.
